Meet Peter

Peter Aldana has served as the Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder for Riverside County since December 2014. Before being elected, he spent 25 years working in the Riverside County ACR’s office, holding roles in appraisal, supervision, and management, including five years as Assistant Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder.

Peter led the Assessor’s operations during the real estate downturn of the Great Recession. During this period, the office improved its business by adopting new technology and streamlining processes. Even with fewer staff, they completed more work at a higher quality. Peter believes that ongoing improvements and smart use of technology will help the ACR keep delivering excellent service and expand offerings while managing public funds responsibly.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts from California State University Fullerton and a Master of Arts in Education from Azusa Pacific University.

He is a member of several professional organizations, including the California Assessors’ Association, the County Recorder’s Association of California, the International Association of Assessing Officers, the Appraisal Institute, and the Inland Empire Hispanic Leadership Council.

Peter has lived in Riverside County his entire life. In his free time, he enjoys being with his wife Lucy and their two sons, Cristian and Alex. He also likes playing golf, traveling, reading, and spending time outdoors.
